Some 30 states sponsor an archaeology week or month each year, and of those
states, 25 exhibited posters at the Second Annual Archaeology Week Poster
Contest in Nashville as part of the SAA 62nd Annual Meeting. This year the
contest was sponsored by the Council of Affiliated Societies, the Network of
State Archaeology Education Coordinators, and the Public Education Committee.
