Copies for education

The SAA has signed an agreement with the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) to participate in the Academic Permissions Service (APS). CCC is thereby authorized to grant permissions to photocopy and to create photocopy anthologies for sale and/or distribution to the academic community. Two separate fees have been established:

• Individual faculty member—no charge when the copies and anthologies are made and assembled by a faculty member, or
• Institutional—$.05 per copy-page when the copies and anthologies are made and assembled at the individual faculty member's request by on-campus bookstores and copy centers or by off-campus copy shops and similar entities.
