The Peopling of the Americas is one of the central abiding issues for Americanist Archaeology regardless of
individual archaeologist’s research or intellectual emphases. The topic is also one in which it is
difficult to stay reasonably current, giving widely scattered publishing venues and rapidly evolving fields
such as the use of DNA evidence. This forum brings together three experts in the fields of archaeology,
genetics and paleoenvironments to discuss their take on the topic and where they see research heading and/or
where it should be going.
