Interest Groups

Interest groups offer SAA members the opportunity to exchange information and ideas on specific topics within the field of archaeology. Among other activities, interest groups may: sponsor symposia, forums, workshops, or special events at the annual meeting; contribute articles to the The SAA Archaeological Record; and propose position and policy statements for consideration by the Executive Board.

Currently, SAA offers nine interest groups. To be eligible for Interest Group membership, you must be a current SAA member. For more information, click on each interest group below:
