Copies for business and government

The SAA has signed an agreement with the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) to participate in the Annual Authorizations Service (AAS) and the Transactional Reporting Service (TRS). These services allow for-profit and not-for-profit firms and corporations (excluding educational institutions) and government agencies to copy portions of SAA materials for internal use only (not for distribution to third parties) upon payment of royalty fees.

Typically, large corporations sign a license agreement with CCC to participate in the Annual Authorizations Service. The Transactional Reporting Service enables users (e.g., a small firm without an AAS license) to report each copy made from publications that have been registered by the SAA.

A base fee of $.50 plus $.10 per copy-page applies to all copies made under the AAS or TRS.
