Behavioral Archaeology and the Study of Technology

Abstract
Loney's (2000) recent paper claims that American archaeologists have paid scant attention to the study of technological, especially ceramic, change. We argue that, in fact, interest in such change processes has grown greatly in recent decades and that Loney has overlooked much relevant literature. We support our general argument with a catalog of recent behavioral research on technological change.

El artículo escrito por Loney (2000) arguye que la arqueología americana ha prestado muy poca atención al estudio de cambio tecnológico, especialmente en material cerámico. Nosotros sugerimos que de hecho el interés en estos procesos de cambio ha crecido mucho en décadas recientes y que Loney ha ignorado la literatura relevante. Apoyamos nuestro argumento general con un catálogo de la reciente investigación conductual sobre cambio tenológico.
